The Beast Player Erin
During a war with neighboring nations, the Grand Duke's forces employ dragon-like creatures known as Touda as weapons. These beasts are highly respected, and villages pride themselves on raising them. Erin lives in one such village with her mother, Soyon, the kingdom's finest beastinarian. But their life is complicated: Soyon belongs to the Mist People, a race feared by humans for their mystical powers. To keep their place in the village, Soyon must perfectly carry out her duties of capturing and training Touda. Though Erin dreams of becoming a beastinarian like her mother, she also feels pity for the Touda and senses they are more than mere tools of war. Can she follow the traditional path when her heart tells her there must be a better way to understand these creatures?
