Superbook

"Superbook," originally called "Animated Parent and Child Theatre," is an anime TV series first created by Tatsunoko Productions in Japan alongside the Christian Broadcasting Network in the US. Later, CBN took over production alone for worldwide release. The show adapts stories from the Old and New Testaments across its 52 episodes. The first 26 episodes aired from October 1, 1981, to March 29, 1982. A sequel, "Superbook II," followed with another 26 episodes, running from April 4, 1983, to September 26, 1983. Between these two series, the spin-off "The Flying House" was broadcast. CBN is now producing a new version of "Superbook," with fourteen episodes already released.
