"Sacred Seven" is a 2011 Japanese sci-fi anime TV series made by Sunrise and directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi. Shin Yoshida oversaw the scripts, and Ippei Gyōbu handled the mechanical designs. The show first aired in Japan on July 3, 2011, on Mainichi Broadcasting System, with later broadcasts on TV Kanagawa, TV Aichi, Tokyo MX, and Teletama. Bandai Entertainment initially licensed the anime for streaming but closed in 2012. At Otakon 2013, Sunrise announced that Sentai Filmworks would take over the license.
