Rozen Maiden - Zurückspulen

Jun Sakurada, still haunted by his past school trauma, reluctantly agrees to wind an unknown object after marking "yes" on a mysterious letter. Thrust into a strange battle, he joins forces with the sentient dolls known as the Rozen Maidens. But what if he had refused? Now older and seemingly past his childhood struggles, Jun drifts through life-attending college and working at a bookstore, yet never feeling like he truly fits in. One day, he stumbles upon a book with instructions for creating a Rozen Maiden. That night, the second volume mysteriously appears at his doorstep, along with parts of a doll. Just as abruptly, the deliveries stop, and Jun learns the series has been discontinued. Left with an unfinished doll and a cryptic message from another version of himself, he too is drawn into the enigmatic world of the Rozen Maidens.
