Romeo's Blue Skies - S01

Romeo is a gentle but brave boy growing up in a quiet Swiss village. His life takes a dark turn when Luini, a ruthless man known as "The God of Death," arrives. Luini makes a living by kidnapping children and forcing them into dangerous chimney-sweeping work in Milan. To force Romeo into his clutches, Luini sets fire to the family's cornfield. With their livelihood destroyed and Romeo's father badly injured trying to stop the flames, Romeo makes a heartbreaking choice-he sells himself to Luini so his family can afford medical care. During the journey to Milan, Romeo befriends another boy, Alfredo Martini. Just as the two grow close, Alfredo is sold to a different master, but they promise to reunite someday. Life as a chimney sweep is brutal-Romeo endures cruel treatment from his master’s family and the violent "Wolf Pack," a gang that preys on young sweeps. But when he finds Alfredo again, they form a brotherhood called "The Black Brothers," a group of sweeps who stand together against the Wolf Pack and protect one another through hardship.
