Peacemaker Kurogane

Fifteen-year-old Tetsunosuke Ichimura is consumed by a burning desire for vengeance after witnessing the brutal murder of his parents. Determined to make the killers pay, he sets his sights on joining the Shinsengumi, an elite band of swordsmen tasked with defending the capital. The group is locked in a violent struggle against the Choshu rebels-the very ones responsible for his family's death. Against his older brother's wishes, Tetsu is willing to do anything to enlist, convinced it's the path to justice. But one night, a shocking encounter forces him to question everything. He sees the Shinsengumi commit acts just as cruel as those of his parents' killers. As he navigates a world of deception, politics, and bloodshed, Tetsu must make a choice: abandon his humanity and embrace the darkness of the Shinsengumi, or let go of his hatred and honor his father's legacy of peace. Revenge may offer satisfaction, but at what cost to his soul?
