Michiko & Hatchin

Hana is a timid nine-year-old girl trapped in a life of abuse at home. Meanwhile, Michiko, a bold and alluring woman, has just pulled off the impossible: escaping from the supposedly unbreakable Diamandra Penitentiary. When Michiko suddenly takes Hana away, insisting she’s her mother, the two embark on a wild journey for freedom. Racing through the streets of Brazil on Michiko’s motorcycle, they search for Hana’s missing father, struggle to understand each other, and evade both the law and the relentless, afro-wearing Atsuko.
