By the 2020s, Japan has shifted to self-driving electric cars, leaving gas-powered vehicles nearly extinct. The fastest traditional cars survive in the MFG, a racing league that takes place on Japan's highways. Drivers worldwide compete for the championship title. Kanata Rivington, returning from Britain to join the MFG, also has another goal: to track down his missing father. With races pushing speed to the edge, Kanata must chase both victory and the truth about his past.
