Laughing Under the Clouds

In the eleventh year of the Meiji era, the government outlawed swords, and the once-powerful samurai class began to fade. Those who refused to surrender their blades rebelled, sparking chaos across the countryside. To quell the surge in crime, authorities built a prison on a remote lake-a place no one could escape. Three young men from the Kumo family were tasked with transporting criminals to this grim facility, but their assignment might not be as straightforward as it seems.
