Kogepan
A loaf of special red bean bread was baking in the oven, but when the tray was pulled out, it fell and burned, turning into what everyone now calls Kogepan. No one wanted to buy burnt bread or treat him kindly, so Kogepan grew bitter and detached. He left home, drowns his sorrows in milk, smokes, and constantly puts himself down. To fill his days, he reads books on self-improvement for bread and shares his cynical life lessons with the more attractive loaves. Deep down, he hopes that if he keeps trying, maybe one day he’ll be worth something after all.
