Kemono Jihen
In a remote mountain village, animals keep turning up dead-their bodies rotting overnight. Inugami, a Tokyo detective with expertise in the occult, arrives to investigate. During the case, he meets a peculiar boy who spends his days working in the fields instead of attending school. Ostracized by the other children and nicknamed "Dorotabo" after a mud-dwelling yokai, the boy helps Inugami piece together the mystery behind the deaths. But as supernatural forces stir, it becomes clear that "Dorotabo" might be more than just a cruel nickname-there could be something inhuman about the boy himself.
