After her newly built home is destroyed in an earthquake, Kotoko Aihara-a clumsy, underachieving high school junior-ends up living with Naoki Irie, the smartest student in school, maybe even in all of Japan. Kotoko isn’t a total stranger to Irie, but her past attempt to give him a love letter didn’t exactly leave a good impression. With oddball friends and a nosy mother making things harder, Kotoko’s chances of winning over the older Irie boy seem hopeless. Still, she can’t help feeling hopeful-now that they’re under the same roof, her long-time crush on the genius might finally have a shot.
