Onigawara, head of the International Secret Police Agency, hoped to mold Takeshi into an elite investigator. Through rigorous training, Takeshi became a skilled athlete and martial artist. But their conflicting approaches to fighting crime drove Onigawara to cut ties with him. For a time, Takeshi worked alone before taking a job as a private detective’s assistant and jack-of-all-trades. Unknown to others, he acquired a revolutionary artificial polymer called polymet from a scientist-a material far stronger than steel. Using polymet, Takeshi transformed into Hurricane Polymar, a nearly unstoppable masked hero.
