Ayumi and her friends are starting eighth grade when they each begin to realize how easily love can spread-and how unpredictable it is. Ayumi finds herself torn between two brothers, while Koyoi faces her own complicated feelings about her brother. Meanwhile, Sumire, who dreams of theater stardom, will stop at nothing to win over her crush. The group also includes tomboy Rika, aspiring artist Nao, Kei-who acts older than she is-and the genuinely mature Misaki. As they navigate friendships and first loves, their lives become a little more tangled-and a lot more interesting.
