Gunparade March
During World War II, a mysterious alien species known as the "Genjuu" appeared, with the sole purpose of eradicating humanity. These creatures emit a strange, acidic odor lethal to humans, which wiped out many of the soldiers sent to fight them. Fifty years later, Hayami Atsushi is a pilot in the 5121 squadron. With so many adults lost in the war, the government has formed the High School Defense Force, training teenagers of a certain age and skill in specialized dorms to combat the aliens. They use advanced mechs (HWTs) and anti-alien suits developed by the Shibamura Group. One day, a new transfer student arrives-a cold, skilled mech pilot who excels at killing Genjuu. She introduces herself as Shibamura Mai. Who is Mai? Why did she join the 5121? And what fuels her deep hatred for the Genjuu?
