In 2047, a highly energetic metallic mineral called Gaimetal was discovered deep underground at 50,000 meters, leading to global mining efforts. But in 2055, metallic life forms known as Gaist-creatures whose bodies are entirely composed of Gaimetal-emerged and began attacking humans. By 2064, a group called the Gear Gaist, including Rekka, Hayato, Kurama, and Siren, are locked in battle against over 100 different types of Gaist creatures.
