Daigunder

Akira Akebono is a young boy taking part in a robot tournament where many of the machines can transform into animal forms. With his team of robots, all of which combine to form the powerful Daigunder, Akira aims to win the Titan Belt. Daigunder was built by Akira’s father, Professor Hajime Akebono. Alongside a girl named Haruka, they compete as Team Akira. But their journey isn’t easy-they must battle not only rival teams but also Ginzan, a robot controlled by the villainous Professor Maelstrom. The series was created by Aeon and Takara, animated by Brain's Base, and aired on TV Tokyo from April to December 2002.
