Appare-Ranman!
In the late 19th century, an eccentric but brilliant engineer named Sorano Appare and a sharp but timid samurai, Isshiki Kosame, are stranded at sea between Japan and America. Broke and desperate to return home, they enter the Trans-America Wild Race, hoping to win the prize money. Driving a steam-powered car they built themselves, they face rivals, outlaws, and the untamed frontier as they race across America-from Los Angeles to New York.
