Anne of Green Gables
Anne Shirley is a spirited, red-haired girl with freckles who grew up in an orphanage after losing her parents as a child. Despite a lonely upbringing without warmth or care, she remains bright and full of imagination. At age eleven, she is unexpectedly adopted by Matthew Cuthbert, a quiet farmer, and his stern sister Marilla, who had intended to take in a boy to help with chores. Anne begins her new life at their farm, "Green Gables," where she faces challenges, forms friendships, and gradually matures into a determined and resilient young woman.
